Windham Brannon is an accounting firm in downtown Atlanta that recently celebrated 50 years in business. They needed a simple half page ad designed for The Touchdown Club of Atlanta’s 70th Annual Awards Banquet. The copy was written to tie in the anniversaries of the two establishments and I selected a vintage illustration as well.Â

TopKote is a premium Japanese paper that is distributed by Unisource in the United States and Canada. This wine journal was created to showcase the paper’s spectacular performance. The paper representatives were able to take the journal to their customers with a bottle of wine or have a wine tasting to promote paper sales. In the back of the journal, there are dull, uncoated sheets of Starbrite text paper dedicated to documenting favorite wines.
“Ideal for its nice bulk-to-weight ratio, incredible consistency and vibrant color, this top sheet is the toast of printers. And while it’s offered at a competitive price, you’ll still feel like you’re splurging.”  - Emily Capps, copywriter
The cover was printed on TopKote 100 lb. gloss text with 4 PMS colors, then dull laminated with a spot UV coating. The cover paper was then mounted to chipboard with a registered deboss. The interior was a combination of dull and gloss text weight papers printed using 4 color process images, 4 additional PMS colors and offline spot dull and gloss varnishes.

Corniche, one of Unisource’s top-selling coated sheet brands, recieved an upgrade to a new blue-white shade with 90-brightness, putting it in line with premium sheets. This transformation had many advantages for designers by giving them reduced show-through and even ink coverage for sharp text and images. This direct mail campaign, Look at the Bright Side, highlighted the advantages of the new shade. A print comparison tool was also produced to provide a side-by-side examination of old and new.

Tangelia and Lorin were planning a simple, casual wedding and wanted their invitation to be equally uncomplicated. The bride is originally from Alabama and collects chicken tchotchke, so she instantly fell in love with this unusual wedding invitation design. She thought the design perfectly reflected the “country-chic” wedding she had in mind, but still modern enough to make her New York-born fiancee happy. The couple also wanted to include their children in the festivities, so along with the rooster and hen, the invitation features three little chicks to represent the three children.
